Hannes is a producer and mixer living and working in London and Hamburg. He grew up in an in all respects musical social environment and studied in the Tonmeister course at music university, Vienna. Being also a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, he likes to think of himself as a specialist in translating between music and technology and bringing the two worlds together. Hannes received his finishing touches working as the personal engineer of London-based record producer Danton Supple (of Coldplay and Morrissey fame) from 2010 to 2012. Subsequently he worked as an engineer for Echo award winning jazz recordist and mixer Christian Heck, collaborating with the best of Germany’s experimental and avantgarde scene. Since 2014 he works closely with Hamburg producer Tobias Levin. In October 2014 Hannes has moved back to London to continue his thriving career as an engineer and mixer. He has worked and works for and out of studios of the likes of Strongroom, RAK, State of the Ark, Flood’s and Alan Moulder’s Assault & Battery or Dean Street Studios. Since early 2015 he closely collaborates with producer Max Dingel (James, Hoosiers, White Lies, Goldfrapp, Killers).
Artists and producers he worked with during the past few years include James, Max Dingel, John McEntire (Tortoise), Stefan Schneider (To Rococo Rot), Sven Kacirek, Jens Rachut, Robert Forster (Go-Betweens), Jherek Bischoff, Soulsavers (feat. Dave Gahan), Autoheart, Elektro Guzzi, Danton Supple, Felix Kubin, Tobias Levin, Olaf Opal, Dominic Miller (Sting), Christian Heck and many more.
